BEFORE SENADI

One afternoon in February 2017, at a cafe in South Jakarta, 4 people with different friendship histories met, some of whom had been friends since elementary, junior high, high school, and even kindergarten. Maudhy Setiawan, Alexandra Bastedo, Yuka Narendra, and Yoga Adhitrisna felt a shared concern for the values of nationalism among the nation's young generation, which at that time was deemed only capable of appearing as an 'empty spell.'

The afternoon coffee was followed by developing a network of the same spirit. The rapid consolidation of the network fosters a need for an identity for this group. With the joining of Satriyo Wibowo (Bowo), Yoga's business partner, in 2018, this think tank labeled itself as 'SemestaID.’

SemestaID's spirit of 'Inspire-Initiate-Empower' brought Yuka and Maudhy to meet Maesa Samola, an old friend from their high school. Intending to increase the soul's development to a higher level, they agreed to legalize it in the form of an official institution. So, in November 2019, the SENADI Foundation (abbreviation for 'Semesta Nusantara Adidaya') was officially established in Surabaya. They kept the word 'Semesta' (universe) because they believe in the power that has united them, and it will always support them when they also support the Semesta. The word 'senadi' itself can be loosely translated in Indonesian as 'one bloodstream.'

Nowadays, Maesa, Yuka, Maudhy, and Alex are playing active roles in the SENADI Foundation, while Yoga and Bowo are actively supporting the Foundation as SENADI Inspiration Affiliate, through their marketing agency Berakar Komunikasi (http://berakar.com/).
